Preview: Issue 20
The latest issue of The Lyme Report goes out to subscribers tomorrow and in it I’ll be exploring some of the projects benefiting from a high profile funding initiative and analyzing a paper on a novel way of identifying Lyme endemic tick populations.
FEATURE: The Public Health Agency of Canada’s Infectious Disease and Climate Change Fund provides financial support for projects exploring the health impacts of our changing climate. In tomorrow’s feature, I’ll take a look at three Lyme-related projects that have recently been funded by the initiative.
ANALYSIS: Not for the first time, The Lyme Report is going to the birds. In tomorrow’s issue, I’ll delve into new research that proposes a novel (and cost-effective) approach to identifying Lyme endemic areas in Canada.
NEWS BRIEFS: Although it may seem like COVID-19 is the only news story anyone is covering these days, I’ll draw your attention to a Canadian article about the use of artificial intelligence in tick identification and another about pandemics (that only references COVID-19 in passing).
